Wow! How about just providing me with life being the number one reason I admire my mom.
As an adult today and understanding the many voices that enter our minds and how I could follow any whim, wow! Mom following her road to bring me in this world and sustain me was never easy. Family was so important to her because she was not born in a normal family and she may have a family would bring normality to her life. Well, if anyone knows this writer they will know I am not normal.
At times I also think of her determination to provide through struggle. Struggle came in the form of learning how to raise a family. Then she had to learn how to support the family and train the family. At the same time she was also was dealing with her own insecurities and health issues. So why not just focus on yourself and better your plight in life? No, she believed family was more important. Regardless of all these natural obstacles she felt deep in her heart that family placed a a stronger stamp on society than all her family hindrances.
In addition she really had no help. Her mother had her out of wedlock and she never had a relationship with her father. When she married my father he also had no ongoing relationship with his father either. So she continued to be a strong women in a family that either lacked the presence of a man or lived with a man that did not have a strong male model in his life. Yet she prevailed.
My admiration is so strong for mom because we all may have heard the story where people overcome these unfair circumstances. Indeed, but I write to you today because she overcame
all these obstacles to bring me on this earth. What also makes me happy is I can talk about the larger picture of her life and not focus on the little things children feel our mothers should have done. I realize that my mother worked with what she had, nothing more or nothing less. A lesson to be learned by us all, just work with what you have, overcome it all
and bring forth life.
