What would you do with one billion people? How do you govern them? The Communist manifesto is actually not a bad basis for running a government. Especially in a huge country. The ideal is spread the wealth. Let everyone earn the same amount as meager as it may be. Some African countries could benefit from Communism to alleviate starvation. The government collects all the food, and then redistributes it evenly to all the people. No one gets rich, but no one dies of starvation.
In one of America's greatest documents, it is claimed "All men are created equal". How hypocritical. Tell that to any ethnic minority who has ever been refused a job. Tell that to the black man trying to outrun the Klu Klux Klan. America does not seen all men created equal. The pioneers driving the Indians out of their settlements was not treating all men as equals. And in America, when you are poor, you are dirt poor.
The communist party tries to achieve equality in wealth. Being, everyone is poor but fed. It does not acknowledge that all men are created equal, but it strives to keep all men equal. And we must put the political party itself aside. They obviously take a substantial cut for keeping everyone else equal. This equality does not apply to them. They are the superiors. The elite. The ones who know best for the people's benefit. Under perfect communist rule, all laborers under rule would get the same amount of money. Isn't that what the minimum wage and unions do in the free market? In a "free" country, the government sets the minimum amount of money an employer can pay it's employees. They do the same thing in Communist China except that that wage may be lower than the west sees acceptable and frowns upon it. Scorn is poured on the Chinese government for letting it's sweat shop workers earn $1 a day where as in America no less than $6 an hour in acceptable. But it is probably easier to exist in China on $1 a day than it is to exist in America on $48 a day.
The Communist Party in China attempts to ensure every Chinese person earns the same basic amount. Much like the British government attempts to do. If you do not earn x amount, the government will ensure that you are given x amount. London. Beijing. Same difference.
