TEX-MEX DIP
Here is an easy, quick, and yummy tex-mex dip. It has the potential to become your signature recipe, and will definitely be everyone at the party's favorite dip. Another bonus: it transports well.
Ingredients:
2/3 can refried beans
2 medium ripe avocados
splash of lemon juice
1 cup sour cream
1/2 pkg taco seasoning mix
1 bunch green onions, chopped
2 tomatoes, chopped
2 cups grated cheddar cheese (Kraft Tex-Mex Cheese is best)
Spread refried beans in a large flat dish (8x8 casserole dish) to about 1 inch thick. Mash avocados with the lemon juice and spread over bean layer. Mix sour cream with taco seasoning and layer over avocado layer. Sprinkle green onions adn tomatoes over sour cream layer. Sprinkle the cheddar cheese on top. Serve with scoop tortilla chips.
