Professor Snape saved Harry's life. He has helped Harry out. Yeah, neither one likes the other but I would, if I were Harry, consider Professor Snape a friend after everything that he has done. I would not however trust Snape with a lot of things because Snape definately would use Harry sometimes and/or make his life miserable.
Professor Snape does have a lot of disdain for Harry because he is often referred to as his father's son and Snape wanted to, well in a way be Harry's father. Snape wanted to marry Lily, he didn't want James to.
Think about it.....Snape favored Malfoy much more than Harry but in the seventh book what happened? Snape came through for Harry. He was there and showed that he could be a friend.
Professor Snape makes Harry's life miserable at school and in other places but when it comes down to what really matters and in a life-or-death situation...Professor Snape would be there for Harry as he has already proven. He isn't the most trustworthy but he's a friend.
After everything that Professor Snape has done for Harry throughout the seven books and throughout Harry's life....he is a friend. He is not a cuddly best friend, but he is a friend. If Professor Snape were a true foe he wouldn't have helped Harry atall. While Snape is not Harry's best friend, he is not a foe and therefore must be a friend.
