and Tony Iommi eventually rekindled their relationship and Ozzy rejoined the band for the Black Sabbath reunion tour in 1999 signaling the end of their on-going rivalry.

As of the present day in 2009, Black Sabbath has two line-ups and two names. The original line-up of Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward are still together but currently on hiatus with work planned for the future as Ozzy is currently working on his latest solo album due for release in November of 2009, whereas the band's current incarnation known as "Heaven & Hell" featuring Ronnie James Dio are currently touring and working on a new album of their own due for release later this year.

Needless to say; the unique collaboration of the vintage blues and metal sound are still going strong. Black Sabbath are one of the most influential bands in the history of the iconic genre of heavy metal music and are still going strong. While the band's days of mayhem and madness are over, the more mature aspect of the Black Sabbath that fans have come to know and love for their epic music are still in full force. Fans can expect nothing but quality releases from one of metal's most iconic hall of famers as 2009 continues on the path of their latest release.
