Wealth-building programs: The science of getting rich

How many more people are like me? You need to earn a bit more money - you don't necessarily want to make a fortune, but you could do with a bit extra to make life a bit easier.

I don't subscribe to the theory that money equates with happiness - you only need to look at some of the wealthiest people to see how unhappy, neurotic, paranoid etc they are. And if you don't have your health, money usually isn't a lot of help. BUT if you need to pay for the basics of life, then yes, money is definitely desirable.

It's easy to get sucked into all these programs that promise to show how you can earn loads of money from the comfort of your home, and keep on earning for only a few hours work each week. You only have to pay them x number of dollars and the secrets will be revealed. And when you've forked out cash you can't really afford, you discover that to really make things work, you have to fork out another x dollars per month. You can't really afford it, BUT what if it's true? What if really does work, what if you are really missing out by not going further? So, you pay out what you really can't afford, and then discover that thousands & thousands of people are doing exactly the same as you, and you really aren't making enough (if anything) to cover your monthly fees. So then, if you only pay another x dollars per month, you can get targeted ads. And so it goes on.

So who exactly is getting rich? It certainly isn't you. The success ads you see are probably only the top 0.01% of the persons on the scheme, and they are the ones who started off the scheme in the first place. Or am I just being cynical?

I have wasted loads of money on several of these schemes (in fact, one time I had paid my money for a home business scheme, then realized I would have to fork out more money that I didn't have, so gave up on that, and signed up for what sounded like a different scheme - only to discover it was the same scheme run by someone else who had subscribed but had managed to change the wording so it sounded like a different scheme. Duh! 2 loads of wasted money!

So, I've now finally decided there is really no such thing as a get rich scheme - no matter what the advertisers claim - it's only get rich quick for them. I should imagine there are far more people like me who have wasted money than have really earned what they expected from joining one of these schemes.

The only way to get the extra money you need is by sheer hard work & research - you're better off joining "e-bay" or "pre-loved", researching what sells on those sites & taking it from there - start slow, grow slow, but you've more chance of getting there.

Wealth building programs - forget them!
