Society and the pressure to be beautiful

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We are all holders and seekers. Barbie, prom queen, Miss America, and supermodels are some of societies ideals of a person's physical trait of perfection. People believe they can achieve this level of beauty through cosmetic surgery, weight loss programs, and the fashion industry. All these industries, together revenue in the upper billions a year from consumers like you.

To be beautiful, attractive, alluring, sex appeal, the opposite of ugly we as a society strive for this achievement. We may go to many extreme lengths, such as cosmetic surgery to obtain this goal of youthfulness. A drug called botox is among the popular picks to prick in your face for "eternal" beauty. What its actually doing is blocking neurotransmitter acetylcholine lacking the ability of the muscles to contract. Another aspect of beauty is to have a perfect waist. Some people can't control their intake of food. They go through the measures of ripping out a part of their stomach, sew back together, and then vomit every time they overeat from not having any self control in the first place. While were at it lets tattoo some eyebrows on, because someone doesn't wanna take a second to pencil them in. Even then why go through the ideals of make-up to be impressive.
There are many different forms of weight loss programs such a gyms, food eating plans, and the popular slim me quick pills. Gyms and food eatings programs are healthy ways to achieve a nice toned body. Weight loss pills, on the flip side, can be harmful to your body, especially the heart. No matter how you achieve a flawless body in today's populace its hungered for, literally.
They peer at you and choose what you must wear. The latest styles of what is in and what is "last" season. The fashion industry sets their ideals of latest expensive trends, whether it be a $300 shirt from top designers, to a $10 shirt from corporation convenience stores, to a $1 blast from the past from a thrift shop. Judging the cloth upon your back.
There are images of human's outer perfection that society feels it must obtain. Is it because we just want to "fit" in? Remember the flawless supermodel on the cover of the
magazine is just painted, as a child's coloring book is plain without being colored. We were born to be imperfect, and somewhere along the way we wanted to beat that concept through outer beauty. Since we can't live lives of inner perfection we want to be appealing,
comparing ourselves to others, giving us a false sense of happiness.
