Russia and India joint space project to moon: Your reactions

by Chaz Z.

For some time we have been watching and listening to Russia thumb its nose at our rightfully irritated attitude regarding their many poor decisions lately. Those same new friends of Russia just happen to be the western civilized world's enemies. It may seem a harmless venture for India and Russia to slip off to the moon. However, it seems people and Russia are reluctant to remember Russia's commitments to the international space station, now being ineptly set aside and regarded as less important. The real problem here is not just Russia and India working together. The real problem is Russia.

Commitments were made between the U.S. and Russia in building the international space station. Obviously, this has given Russia direct access to our technology. They have learned "some" of our rocket, guidance and technological advancements in space through this venture which gives us concern they may have shared at least parts of it with China, and now possibly India. It should draw a reaction of concern from every American that we are falling behind, especially to a country such as China in space tech. They may not have superseded us in areas where we are spending all our resources, but no doubt, with the successful testing of an anti-satellite weapon this year, China is far ahead of us in areas we have yet to venture.

So what is India's connection? It has long been suspected there was some three-way friendship between India, Russia and China, now the suspicions have become factual concerns. India has signed a deal to lease nuclear submarines from Russia until the Indian defense department wraps up its new high tech submarines, due to be tested in 2009. You just have to wonder, what is India's dire need of nuclear submarines and especially, what is the hurry? They have also signed into an agreement with Russia to build a new "Fifth generation Fighter Jet."

Going to the moon is one thing. The recent statement from all parties, that all sides have agreed to a trilateral partnership for the advancement of "superior weaponry" is another thing altogether. Personally, the trip to the moon mean nothing, except to wonder, if perhaps, as we do all the time, is it to learn or test a new advancement in this "superior weaponry" technology? If this be the case, we all have great reason for concern, and even if this trip were just so Russia could thumb their nose at us again, it is still a serious problem.

I look at it as a whole picture, and I am not a whacked out conspiracy theorist. It is the logic on the face of the matter that we can no longer afford to ignore. These actions by all three countries should cause us to reinvigorate our "superior technology," before we find ourselves being invaded by Chinese made Star Gates, delivered to our shores in India made, super quiet Subs, paid for by our enemy who never saw the "cold war" end.
