How about a cowboy cowgirl country outdoor wedding! I just had some good friends get married in September on horseback. This was really a very romantic and wonderful way for two people whom have a love of horses to show all their family and friends how much they love each other and what brought them together. Most people would think that having a wedding involving horses would be a disaster but it really went very smoothly and all the kids got to ride the horses and have fun also. It was a fun way to have a wedding and barbeque and surround all of your loved ones together to bless a very happy couple. DJ music for ceremony music and all the dancing in the dirt after the ceremony, a barb-cue with lots of good brisket, sausage and hamburgers. Ah, yes, there was coffee, lots of water and ice tea for the tea drinkers and it would not be a cowboy wedding without the beer(with everyone on their limits of course). There was also plenty of champagne for the toast later. The bride and her two bridesmaid rode in from out of the front gate, while the groom, bestman and preacher rode in from a side direction. The wedding parties met up by the house under a very beautiful trellis adorned in white roses. The preacher and bestman used my two horses and we have great pictures to show all of our friends. The bride and groom both wore black hats, black boots & jeans and white shirts. The pretty blonde bride in a sexy little see-thru halter(she's a size 2 so she could wear it)and black hat with a white ribbon hanging down the back. The groom wore a longsleeve shirt with black jeans and boots also. The bridesmaids each wore black and white jeans and shirts also. It was a very country atmosphere and all the folks were country people whom all own horses. During the ceremony the preacher asked if anyone objected to the wedding and to make it fun and exciting for the company, when someone in the audience stood up and said,"I object" the preacher held up a gun with blanks of course and aimed at him twice. The audience was surprised but thought it was cute because we all knew this was a wedding going to happen! My mare that the preacher was sitting under got just alittle jittery when he shot the gun but I told him to hold her tight and she did just fine. No bucking or rearing to watch for! Thank goodness. The bride and groom both had speeches written but were so teary eyed they couldn't remember a thing so they just professed their love in front of everyone and exchanged rings. Once the preacher pronounced them husband and wife, the bride climbed off her horse onto the back of the grooms and they said, "You may kiss the bride", which he did and we were all thankful he didn't fall off trying to lean backwards for the big Kiss. After the kiss they rode out the front gate while everyone tossed sunflower seeds at them and blew bubbles as well. The wedding was very emotional and fun, even with horses there you can have a neat wedding you just have to make sure you have very well behaved horses whom aren't spooky at all! They cute the cake, did the toast and then danced in the dirt and from what we hear the company didn't leave until the next day! What a better way to have a fun wedding that everyone will be talking about for years to come and with pictures to put in your wedding album it is something to cherish forever!
