The women in India who are victims of HIV aids are really challenged to such an extent that its really very sorrowful to think about. I had been to an orphanage 6 months before to give the children some cloths and school books. so there i was also been taken to a section where the women who suffered from HIV were there. so i went and talked to them to know how they all where here, so many women told me that they were thrown out from the houses when their family people came to know that they had aids, so when i asked how did they get infected, they told me it was because of their husbands, and most of their husbands were no more and those men were mostly lorry drivers who had been infected by the prostitutes. In that place i also met a very young girl who was just recently married and she had been infected because of her husband. Its really pity to see the situation of these ladies and i was happy that at least these types of orphanage existed to give them food and shelter.when i asked them what they all wanted so that i could provide them ,they all wanted Saree's . they said they were happy there as they were living with people who had same type of problem and they all joined and did the work together and during free time they did some handicrafts which were sold and they could get some money. Its really very sad to think that with no fault of-theirs they had to suffer and how could the family members be so heartless to throw someone out of the house. They are been treated like they have no right to stay with them an more as it may affect them. The government of India is also taking steps through media and other sources that HIV aids does not spread when we touch them or sit and eat with them and they also try to tell the people the reasons how HIV spreads but still people are not able to understand the real fact.Yes there are some families who are full support to the Victims and treat them with full respect and love ,to ensure them that life has to be enjoyed at least until they are alive. In this world there are many people who are suffering from HIV and there are many institutes which are there to support them by providing free medicines and giving them job to boost their confidence. There are lots of councilors and volunteers who talk to these people and help them in every possible way. There are also some groups where all the infected people join as members and are supportive to each other too.So i think now people are leading a better life than before due to the awareness . so lets all join hands and help these challenged women to lead a better life in which ever way we can.
