While on your honeymoon, what you do not want to do is argue or disagree over anything, no matter how trivial. On your honeymoon you are supposed to be seeking respite and escaping from the headaches of the venture that is marriage. Your honeymoon is supposed to filled with romanticism, sensuality, relaxation, laughter, and enjoyment. Do not ruin this once in a lifetime opportunity by being negative or boring.
On your honeymoon you should avoid all decision making back home, forgetting about life for one week. You should not let your eyes wander while on the beach. You should not avoid contact or conversation with your spouse. You should not eat foods that you know don't always agree with you, because you do not want to spend your honeymoon sick in bed, while your spouse is left alone tending to your needs. Do not drink excessively. Do not take unflattering pictures of your spouse. Your honeymoon should be perfect in every way, and the most important part is just being together. Don't count the days, but make the days count.
The honeymoon is intended as a way to relax and wind down after what has undoubtedly been the most stressful time of your life. With all of the little details planned, painstakingly, and all of the major details thought out in full, the bride and groom have had nary a moment to enjoy one another. This is where the honeymoon comes into play. It is not just for the traditional purpose of finally getting to know your partner and to procreate, but rather for a good opportunity to endure a stressful event, mentally, physically, emotionally and financially and then to sit back and laugh about it, savoring each moment in resplendent hindsight.
What you do on your honeymoon is completely up to each couple, and their decision will have been in both of their best interests. There are some things that you should never do on your honeymoon. One of the things that you should not do on your honeymoon is to have a hotel room with a television inside. The television will only interfere with the other business that should be at hand.
You should never plan a honeymoon that is not all inclusive. If you have to pay for every little item during your honeymoon, you may find out that your partner is vastly different than you in terms of their financial wheelings and dealings. The honeymoon is not a time to find out and flaws and exploit them. It is acceptable to witness any tiny peccadilloes that your partner has, but to learn to love them rather than criticize them. They will be with you for the rest of your natural lives together, until death do you part.
While on your honeymoon you should not point out any members of the opposite sex and make any form of comment, whether positive or negative. You should only have eyes for your spouse on your honeymoon.
You should not get intoxicated to the point of belligerence or you will run the risk of causing a serious detriment to your burgeoning and blossoming relationship. Keep as sober as possible so that you get a good opportunity to get to know your partner without having your judgment clouded in a fog after an noon hour spent bobbing for olives.
These are some of the things to avoid doing on your honeymoon. It is supposed to be the best time of your life, so you should try and enjoy yourself to maximum capacity.
