It is rather hard to understand the equality issues among all people in a free world. The term "free world" is often used to describe a certain part of the world that is not under communist rule and where the people that are part of that country are free to make their own decisions and have their own personal freedoms. This issue of equality comes in when people do things that others disagree upon whether it be because of the different backgrounds that one may have or because of the way that one may think or act in a certain situation. Equality issues are going to always exist between male and female and blacks and whites. Why? The answer cannot be explained, other than, it has always been that way. The equality issues is something that has for the most part, just been accepted. Even though back in the beginning, the founders of the United States indicated that "all men are created equal" and this was also expressed through the Declaration of Independence, the equality issues have still remained an, issue. Even though there are laws that have been placed or extensions to amendments in the constitution, equality issues still exist. Although there is supposed to be equal protection of the laws, that is not always the case. The fact is that we live in America, a free world and there are always going to be discrepancies between what is equal and accepted or what is right for one and not the other. It could be worse, we could be told who we have to marry and only be allowed to visit certain places and have to live a certain way. The good thing is that we are indeed more lucky than many other people and accepting equality issues is a part of life. I will take that gladly.
