My demented cat Miiko, has always been a people person. He absolutely refuses to spend any time on his own and craves constant attention and playtime. I thought neutering him would make him a little calmer, quieter and well you know.... a little less crazy. I WAS WRONG. This cat is insane. There are times when I swear he's on cheap drugs.
Miiko's days consist of ways to terrorize and torment me. He hides in every corner and around every doorway, anticipating the moment I will walk by... just so he can grab my ankle and scare the beejeezus out of me. He watches my every move... if I reach for the broom he wraps his body around it so I'll drag him across the floor. If he thinks I'm heading for the computer chair, he races to get their first and lands on it with such a force that it rolls across the floor and slams into the wall.
When he's not stalking me, he has imaginary monsters to slay. He races from room to room like he has the devil on his heels, occasionally spinning out (not unlike the roadrunner) losing all control and crashing into the nearest wall. He is looney toons.
All the door frames in my house are scratched and missing strips of paint because the little freak likes to climb them like they're trees. I have named his newest pastime "bungee jumping". I swear his back legs are spring loaded as he jumps over and over until he has successfully removed every magnet and slip of paper from the fridge door.
His high maintenance attitude can be quite annoying, yet more often than not, I find myself highly amused at his strange antics. At two years old, giving Miiko the SNIP has turned him from a somewhat crazy cat into a totally demented one... hmmm... I wonder if the universe is trying to tell me something?
