~Inside the Mind of an Orphan~
With each train that passes,
My hope slowly fades,
My family is gone now,
No time for charades.
I guess i must vanish,
And never look back.
For my mother's not coming,
By way of train track.
My father and sisters,
Whose faces are blurred,
The memory of their voices,
Not there to be heard.
The birds are my brothers,
The road is my home,
the sky stretches freely,
And beckons my roam,
The unbearable silence,
Is music to me,
Much better than crying,
Forbid Sympathy!
No time for emotion,
just time for one look,
at the home that I'm leaving,
and the past trails I took.
I wish I'd now followed,
My family to fate,
No heart left to love with,
Yes, for me it's too late.
