A fall wedding can be very romantic and will also allow you to be highly creative with your wedding planning. There are many different aspects to autumn, including foliage, colors and different scents and textures which you can incorporate into your special day.

Invitations

You can begin your fall theme right at the start by using an autumn design on your invitations.

Combining a leaf shape with textured paper in a pale orange or deep yellow color will help to give your invitations that autumn feel and look.

Clothing

Autumn colors such as rich browns, deep berry reds, burgundy, gold, yellow and green can be used as a color theme for the bridesmaids dresses, the best mans outfit and the maid of honors.

The groom can have accents of these colors in his waistcoat and tie.

The bride could have a gold leaf patterned bridal veil and a gown with satin ribbons in similar colors to the groom.

Some gowns also have leaf embroidery on them and a bridal garter can be purchased which has little silk acorns and leaves sewn onto it.

Bouquet

The brides bouquet could be made up of roses in deep orange and cream colors, interspersed with fall oak leaves and burgundy berries. Held together with a gold colored ribbon this bouquet will be stunning.

A similar theme could be carried on for the bridesmaids flowers and the groom and best mans buttonholes.

Accessories.

The bride and her bridesmaids could have hair accessories incorporating leaf designs and colors.

Their shoes could have embroidered leaves on at the back just above the heel for maximum effect as they are walked up the ailse.

Make-up.

The bride and the bridesmaids make-up can be in autumn tones, incorporating russets, browns, golds, burgundy and plum.

Food.

Caterers can be hired who specialize in fall weddings who will know how to produce autumn food in an impressive way.

When it comes to desserts many medieval recipes which used allot of warming spices will fit in nicely with the fall theme.

The wedding cake could be decorated with sugar icing acorns and oak leaves.

Decorations.

Tablecloths could either be in fall colors or could have autumn themed runners. Napkins and napkin rings could be made to blend beautifully and centerpieces could be made from pumpkin and gourd candle holders.

Tables could also be decorated with sugar lumps in leaf shapes and colors and instead of the traditional sugared almonds guests could be given leaf marzipan's in their favor bags.

Gourds carved in leaf designs could be used amongst other decorations, as could seasonal berries, dried corn and acorns.

To represent the harvest well crafted corn dollies could be used in amongst other wall decorations, along with swaths of leaves.

Pomanders can be very decorative when they are made from dried oranges stuck with cloves and hung amongst foliage. They also have the added benefit of adding a lovely spicy scent to the air.

Maple leaves are particularly decorative as are oak leaves and can be found in the most beautiful of fall shades.

Finally, the wedding cars could be decorated in satin ribbons of gold and burgundy.
