How to develop psychic abilities

There are certain things about psychic abilities that I believe most people are highly incorrect in: Not everyone has psychic abilities. Saying everyone has psychic abilities is like saying everyone can sing or saying that everyone can understand biology or physics. No matter how hard some would try, they will be denied psychic ability. In this, I apologize.

That being said, one basic concept affects the development and usage of any psychic abilities: Mental Discipline. Mental Discipline is the ability to control, to a very high degree, what is going through your mind or more precisely, being able to halt anything going through your mind. It sounds easy enough, but really what is going on in your head? Worries, reliving memories, imaginary journeys of what ifs and what could of beens travel through the undisciplined head like a thunderous flood of water through a rapids of sharpened rock and jagged deeps. All of the thoughts that race through your head are good and fine, but they do not lead to any psychic ability and most of the time lead you astray. Being able to make any sense of this mess of literal and figurative garbage is impossible. Attempting to use psychic abilities in a mind that is as noisy and thunderous is similar to whispering a conversation to a friend at a football game: I wish you the best of luck.

If you are listening for something very quiet in your mind, your mind needs to be as quiet as possible. It actually needs to be utterly silent or you will fail completely in what you can accomplish. Using standard ways to relax your mind like listening to music, reading a book, watching TV, messing around on the internet; none of these things will help you. The only tool I know of that will silence your mind and increase mental discipline is meditation.

I know, I know. Every time anyone thinks of meditation, they think of some martial arts guy sitting under a tree and making some ommmmmm noise. They then wake up and start saying confusing things like: "To go forward is to go back" or "snatch the pebble from my hand". First order of business is to ditch that image. Meditation is a very ordered method in clearing all thoughts in your mind to allow you to concentrate to your fullest extent.
Meditation is critical, because it will train you in achieving something I have labeled the Omega State. Within this state, you will realize you have psychic abilities. Reflecting at what I said at the beginning of this article, it might appear to conflict with what
