Chapter 3
Betrayal of Heart

Night came. Dave and Sora liked the room that Zoe placed them in. The beds were comfortable and fluffy. It so happened that that room was a room that guests were placed in a lot, but after that night it wouldn't be.
On the outskirts of the city a plot us brewing; a plot to destroy the city. Orcs were waiting for their orders to attack. Commander Carlos was leading them. This was the day he had waited for for many years; the day that he would finally avenge his late master, Lord Doom. The anger inside him boiled as he waited for his general to return from scouting, but it quickly left his face when he saw him approaching. A smile quickly replaced it as the general bowed to make his report.

"Commander," he said. "The northern wall of the city seems to have no guards posted on it. That is the best place for us to launch our attack, sir."
Commander Carlos smiled at the news. All was going as planned. His spy had been able to do what he had said he would do after all. This would make his revenge easier and sweeter.
"Good. General, your mission now is to take fifty of your best orcs to the northern wall to enter the city. Send twenty of them down the river on any boat you can find to open the gate for the rest of us. Do you understand?"
The general bowed lowed before he answered.
"Yes, sir. I understand exactly what I am supposed to do, and I will carry it out just as you instructed me to."
With that the general rose and ran throughout the battalion of orcs, picking the best from among their ranks. Once he had chosen fifty he led them off to complete his orders.
They neared the northern wall. Like before no guards were on top of it. This would make their work a lot easier. The general when through his pockets and pulled out a piece of paper. It was a paper bomb. The general calmly placed it on the wall and stepped away from it with his men. After a few seconds it went off, destroying part of the wall, leaving a hole large enough for them to get in through. The general smiled as he marched his troops into the city to begin his siege.

Douglas had been asleep. He had been in the middle of a dream that he had often. He was dreaming of the day that he would be promoted to lieutenant. But, his dream was cut off by the explosion of the paper bomb. He fell out of his bed. His sword happened to be lying on the ground next to the bed, so his head hit the hilt of it. It hurt and didn't
