Best man tips: What to do if the groom has cold feet

There is many things we could say or do when someone we know is having a bad day or a meltdown to say the least. What if that bad day just happens to be on the biggest day of his life?

Well as the bestman your job is too make sure you act fast. You have to make sure you are there to help guide the soon to be very nervous, and anxious groom to make clear and concise decisions. You can not allow for him to be wishy washy. This is the biggest thing he is going to do. He is about to become a husband, someones soulmate. He is making a lifetime committment to be with some one for the rest of their lives.

That is a big step, one that certainly can cause you to go whoozy in a heartbeat. It is also the decision that should make you smile and make your heart skip a beat.

As the bestman you need to sit with the groom. You need to hear him out. Let him vent. Then you need to validate all that he has said and let him know everything will be all right it is just nerves. Let him know he is about to make the best decision of his life. If there were ever any doubts they should have been worked out earlier. If there was ever any thoughts of letting someone down it won't happen, unless he isn't at the end of the aisle when is lovely soon to be bride is ready to make her walk. She too is making the biggest decision of her life. She too is making a committment to be with the groom through sickness in health to death do them part. She is also feeling anxious and nervous perhaps not feeling like the most adequate choice but she will be there waiting for him. She will be there to say her vows and make him her husband. Together they will become one and all these nerves and anxious feelings will be a thing of the past. Together they will have a lifetime of happiness. This is all he needs to hear from his bestfriend is bestman.
