Maid of honor tips: What to do if the bride has cold feet

It is finally the big day that has been so long in the planning. At this stage of the game if the bride has cold feet it is the maid of honor's job to warm them up. This is no time to listen to what must be assumed to be irrational reasons why the bride thinks the impending wedding might be a bad or even intolerable idea. If it was going to be deemed as such there were probably at least months since the proposal and years of dating when such an abortion could have been made to a far less devastating end.

Regardless of what you might really think of the groom, muster all the reasons he is unequivocally the most compatible man for the bride since it is your responsibility to coerce her down the isle. Don't forget a church or synagogue or temple full of people are counting on you to help make all the formalities glide smoothly along so they can start partying at the reception.
You know the bride very well (you must or why would you be the maid of honor.) This, more than any other time, is when you must exploit that fact. If she is the type that responds to logically constructed reason do your best to supply it. If she needs a few shots of Tequila, line them up. Bottom line: do anything to complete your primary job as maid of honor: get that bride down the isle.
