The effect of political humor on US elections

his friend, and I think its just plain insensitive to keep shooting the air on these late night shows and having men dummies fall out of sky. I will admit however when I saw it the first time I laughed my head off. But the jokes just keep coming about Vice President Chaney being a haphazard shooter just looking for someone to hit.

I also enjoyed the stupid cartoon commercials some young college kids did, but if they were addressed at me, I'd not find them so funny. One commercial currently running on TV has President Bush running around in a big truck, with the Secret Service running after him, as he gets stuck in the mud with a big Texan hat on and a stupid looking grim on his face like he doesn't have a clue. Why the constant attack on President Bush, I've never seen a President so picked on by the media in my life.

The media, newspapers, radio and yes talk show hosts have a definite effect on the presidential elections, thats why they keep on relentlessly hammering at our elected officials. To target the people that watch these shows with a barrage of uncomplimentary remarks, anecdotes, comments, phony skits, etc is to insult the truly intelligent people who watch and to only egg on the people who watch who really don't have a clue at all if it is true should just be curbed or stopped completely. It surely does effect public opinion in allot of ways and I would like it to stop to some degree, even a lesser degree would be better than this constant barrage of attacks on our current elected officials. What happened to the Golden Rule?
