How to lose your job ...

With so many people being cut from jobs, companies down sizing or moving off shore, why would one want to lose a job? That may happen soon enough, for any of us. If you have a job, be glad and try to keep it.

If you have a job you just absolutely can't stand, why did you take it in the first place? But if you feel you must go, you may want to be fired and collect unemployment. If you quit, you probably can't collect unemployment because you voluntarily left.

There are some things you can do to get fired or lose your job. Most jobs you can show up and not do any work and still have a job. I work with some people in this group, so that may not work, unless the employer is looking for a reason to dump you. In that case, problem solved. If that isn't the case, you'll have to resort to other things.

You can try: 1)Show up late a couple hours everyday. 2)If your company has policies, violating them. All of them, except the one on sexual harassment. That will get you fired, and it may also get you sued. Losing your job and getting sued kind of defeats the purpose. 3)Tell the boss to take the job and put it where the sun doesn't shine. 4)Say something about his or her lack of hair or hair style. 4)Drop several files in the shredder, daily. 5)Spill coffee in the central server. 6)Park in the presidents spot, every day. 7)Call 900 numbers on the company phone. 8)Go to lunch and don't come back until the next work day. 9)Don't do the reports assigned to you. 10)Take a day off and don't come back. Call the office a month later and ask if you are still employed (it's been done). No, they weren't.

That's ten tips. Anyone of them should cost you your job. If they don't work, don't blame me, I tried to help you.
