Should women who are arrested for prostitution have their names and addresses published in a local newspaper? Sorry, but -No.

Publishing names of women in a newspaper or any public forum merely because they have been arrested for prostitution clearly subjects them to immediate and unnecessary danger. It is a dangerous practice, and it is wrong. It is hypocrisy.

If prostitution is the oldest profession in the world, then the arbitrary condemnation of prostitution by the righteous and the pure' must surely be the oldest -and deepest root
-of Hypocrisy.

Politicians, lawyers, preachers, and even judges have been known to use prostitutes in fancy hotel suites. Civic leaders use prostitutes in public offices and out in the parking lot.
Officers of the law. In the dark. Out of sight. Before or after arrest?
Turn on the sirens.

Sex. Wherever and whenever lust rises and wanes. Money changes hands.

Money from sex -the eternally jaded challenge to stifling societal righteousness.

The Women. Some of the Pure choke on Perfection and call them 'Eves', every one.

The rising civic gall in politically correct throats tries to say 'Practitioners of Temptation' but red-faced, titillated, dirty minds think 'whores, hookers, and sluts'.

"Let's Sanitize that for the Public." the Mayor says to the town council, now collectively gazing out the window studiously, studying the flight patterns of crows.

"These -whores -will be referred to -from now on, as 'Females of the Trade', and, or, as 'Escorts' -from now on. There will be no use of the 'S' word."

The secretary takes notes almost efficiently, blinks twice, and swallows hard, crossing her knees primly and tightly.

"Whores, the Practitioners of Temptation" is approved by an embarrassed show of hands -to be 'sanitary enough' for use in the Purity behind closed doors.
Smirking, knowing glances.

Many of these women face terrible choices and dangers daily because of the lifestyle they participate in-many without choice. It is a risky, questionable existence, and given adequate economic options, the majority of women would not be on the street or in flophouses.

Some women involved are hardened drug addicts that require money to feed their addiction. Crack. Heroin. Speed. Meth. Ice. Ecstasy. Weed. Uppers. Downers. Needle in the arm, Death in a bottle.
Alcoholism. Comfort in the bottle. Numbness. Suspension of reality.

What these women need is safety, human assistance and understanding, not abuse from their pimps, the lowest of the low , -or demeaning public
