How to prevent lost luggage at the airport

It's not uncommon to loose luggage when you're at the airport, after all there is a lot to keep your mind on. There are simple things you could do to prevent losing it though.

1. First, put an identity tag on your case, it should have your name, address and a contact number. This way if you do lose it, it will come back to you a whole lot faster.

2. Make your case easy to identify, most people do this anyway in order to find it when it comes off the convey-a-belt when you arrive. Buy a case that is a bright and original colour, tie a ribbon/belt around your case or put personal touches such as stickers on it.

3. Be vigilant of your luggage, suitcases can look very similar, you don't want someone else walking off with it.

4. I'm afraid there is nothing you can do to prevent the airline losing your belongings once it's on the plane.

5. If you do manage to lose your case at the airport the you need to inform the airline and airport, they need to know if there is unattended baggage in the building and they can help find it for you.
