Should you wear stockings with open-toe shoes?

Typically the answer to this question is a loud no! While some people still chose to wear stockings with open toe shoes it is definitely considered a fashion no-no. In my opinion, the main reason is because of the way the seem of the hose look over your toes and the way it bunches up. It just looks terrible. Open toe shoes were made to show off your toes in a sexy way. Stocking covered toes are simply not sexy. However, a lot of people like to wear stockings for various reasons. Some buy stockings that will "shrink" their mid sections through the girdle at the top and some are pale and are looking to have darker skin and some buy the energizing stockings because they are on their feet all day. In addition, some people were simply raised being told that stockings were always worn with a dress or a skirt. Whatever the reason is there is good news: there are now open toe stockings. I personally hate stockings but a friend of mine insisted on wearing with a skirt. She always had stockings on. After a holiday weekend, she came back to work with a discovery of open toe stockings, that she found in one of the department stores. The toe part is simply cut out of the stocking. So it slips on just like stockings but begins coverage just below the toes. Now I was worried about the stockings ridding up my foot or discomfort where the seem was, however, she assured me that you didn't feel the seem and that they didn't ride up alot. Since the opening was small for the toes it wasn't wide enough to ride up since the foot gets pretty wide after your toes. Wearing these stockings allows you to show off your toes and still feel confident in your stockings. Now of course this only works for the shoes with the opening that shows two or three toes. Strappy shoes still don't have any solutions as far as the pantyhose dilemma. So at least for shoes that are made to show off only a portion of your toes its' up to you, stockings or no stockings.
