The internet has fast become today's marketplace for savvy consumers. EBay is like a new shopping mall for web surfers as other retailers have also taken advantage of this link to reach its target customers.
Just as how the internet quickly turned into the world wide shopping mall, it is also quickly becoming a sort of a means to obtain daily doses of video information. Such information can range from Do It Yourself" instructionals to useless bits of entertainment.
There are now many sites available on the web where people can go and retrieve relevant video information. Such sites include Veoh.com. Veoh offers services to those who wish to catch up on television shows that they might have missed. With this tool, internet users are able to watch full episodes of their favorite TV shows online.
No matter what your interest, there's quite possibly a site that can offer up videos to peek your interest. One can also use YahooMusic.com, of the popular Yahoo search engine, and watch music videos of their favorite artists. Yahoo also offers miniature news videos on its homepage which gives the user the option of whether they want to click and watch...
This brings up the question of whether or not online videos or Internet TV is here to stay. Yes, it is definitely here to stay. These tools allow the average person to choose what information they want to expose themselves to. It also places control back into the consumers' hand. Consumers and regular web surfers now have the option of selecting what products or services they want to show interest in. People do not like to be controlled and with the availability of online videos and Internet TV, they now can feel that they are once again the boss of what is flashed into their brains.
Emarket reports that the number of US online videos viewers from 2006-2011, will grow nearly 50%. With such projections, it is only safe to say that these venues are here to stay, or are not going anywhere for sometime. With the popularity of You Tube, there has become rapid growth in the usage of online videos to connect to the world. Now your regular, everyday person can pick up a video camera and make record of whatever they feel and upload it to the computer. Each video is sure to peek somebody's interest, so it's like the if we build it they will come' phraseIf we film it, they will watch.
Even retailers are now using You Tube to reach their target markets. They appreciate the fact that this has become a more popular tool to market their products and services, even more cost effective. Internet TV and online videos are pushing into mainstream, reaching those they wouldn't have been able to by using earlier tools such as the television. In fact, internet TV is now being referred to by many as the future of television.
With such popularity among all age groups, it's easy to see why many believe that online videos and Internet TV is here to stay.
