Book reviews: Body Surfing, by Anita Shreve

This is a 307 page hard cover book that was released in April, 2007 and focuses on a 29 year old woman named Sydney Sklar who finds herself a widow very unexpectedly. She is looking for someplace she can just get away and escape. She finds the perfect opportunity tutoring a wealthy couples daughter on the beautiful shores of New Hampshire. The Edwards are really quite opposites Mr Edwards is a sweet kind hearted person who puts others needs first and Mrs Edwards is a snob who is so stuck up if it were to rain she would probably drown.

Julie is their teenaged daughter who Sydney is tutoring. She isn't that bad but like any teen she has her typical teen issues. Right is the middle of the Edwards Dilemmas and trying to deal with and figure everything out two new members of the Edwards clan emerge their sons Jeff and Ben.

The boys oddly enough have a strange way of helping Sydney deal with the dark shadows in her closet threw wine, the ocean, and with her love of body. With two handsome men and one sexy woman, The old saying two's company and threes a crowd is a serious understatement. A triangle is inevitable. Soon Sidney finds herself caught right in the middle of an intense sibling rivalry with devastating consequences.

I love this write so that is why I was wondering what in the world happened? What went wrong? I forced myself to finish this book just to see what was going on, and if it would get any better. For me the book was really slow and boring and definitely was not a page turner
