Being unequally yoked

lives of the family and the other will be passive and almost non-existent.

How am I suppose to find someone that is equally yoke? First, you need to know what you believe and why you believe it. You need to be grounded in your faith and in the word of God that supports what you believe. The bible says to study to show yourself approved unto God.
In order to find the right mate, you must be the right mate. Your completeness in Christ

helps to solidify you as the right spiritual mate for someone.

Secondly in knowing where you are in Christ, you need to know what fundamental doctrines your potential mate has to adhere to and believe in. Does he believe that the whole bible is the word of God, or is he just a New Testament Church. You also have be honest with yourself and with your partner. Honesty is always best in the beginning than in the end.

Finally, in knowing all of this, you must understand how this person deals with conflict. Conflict resolution is one of the key areas that is so overlooked in picking the potential mate. It plays a major role in the whole idea of being equally yoked. If one person is not tolerant of another's opinions goals and ideas, then there is no equality in that relationship.

Christ's goal for us as his followers and believers in him is that we bear each other infirmities. He wants us to have relationships that are committed to love and respect for each other, and faith in him as spiritual shepherd. As we continue to live in this world that is so divisive and immoral, it is good to have someone that understands the world with the same passion and has the same goal that you do. That is, to be in the kingdom when he comes.
