Do blondes really have more fun?
Over recent years there as been many speculations about and investigations into the topic of whether blondes do or do not have more fun then any other hair colour. Both sides of the argument have been thoroughly examined and presently there is still no hard evidence that supports that statement that blondes have more fun.

Whether an individual has fun or not is defiantly not dependent on the colour of their locks. A survey has already conducted, in 1985, to investigate the statement and it proved that there was no link between the colour of an individual's hair and the amount of fun they have. On the contrary, having fun is more dependent on external influences, rather then phenotype.

One form of an external influence is the influence of parents. If a parent likes to have fun, party and drink a lot, if they like to talk to a variety of people or they just generally like to live on the wild side, then there child will live the same. It is common knowledge that children watch how their parents act, does what they do and learn from them. This is why any people say he has his fathers stance or she talks like her mother'. Children inherit these traits though not via genetics. They watch and learn. Parents teach their offspring what is right and wrong it is only natural for them to copy other points also. Although parents may pass blonde hair through to children in their genetic makeup it has nothing to do with how much fun they have.

Another form of an external influence is the life experiences of the person. If an individual has had a negative experience in the past they will become more wary and protective in the situation. This may prevent them from succumbing to certain acts of fun, as they are scared of the outcome or they don't want the negative outcome to occur again. Life experiences are not influenced by hair colour and therefore nor is the amount of fun a blonde haired person may or m ay not have.

The third form of external influences is the friends that an individual has. For example, if individual's friends are loud and fun-loving, risk taker, wild childs, well then the individual will also become one, according to Maslow's hierarchy of needs and the basic need for acceptance. The child will feel like it needs to be accepted into a group of friends therefore will begin to act like their group of friends to increase the chances of become accepted.

These external influences are all very important in deciding how much fun a person may or may not have; however, they are all just sub-players in the game of fun. The main decider of how much fun a person has is wholly dependent on an individual's personality. These external influences ands many more are what can shape a persons personality. Whether an individual has or does not have fun in defiantly not determined by the colour of their hair but by their exposure to external influences and their personality.
