Not all teens are interested in sports, so if you know of one that is, be happy and proud of them. At least you know that she is not sitting about locked in her bedroom glued to a TV or computer screen, with anti social skills.

BASKETBALL OR NETBALL
When choosing a gift, for one that is interested in sports, find out what type of sport interests her the most. Suggestions are as follows:

If it is basketball, you could choose a basketball hoop and net. Make sure the fitting is secure so it cannot fall down when the teen or friends jump up and hang on the rim.
Buy a pre- inflated professional netball or basketball, plus the pump and fitting for when it loses pressure.

Suitable playing shoes, monogrammed socks, or a towel with the teams name monogrammed in the corner.

A TEAM SPORT FOLLOWER
Take her to a sporting shop. Then ask for her help, tell her you have to buy a gift for the boss's daughter. Let her pick something out, not realizing it is really for her. If she does not cooperate, you could select a team scarf, beanie, track pants, or a jacket. Any of those should do the trick.

Buy tickets to her favorite sporting game, make a day of it by enjoying the outing together.

HOLIDAY SPORTING EVENTS
Most teens would love a pair of roller blades, tickets to the game of her choice, or a camera to capture the great event. Some girls love fishing as much as the boys so choose a rod and reel with the necessary hooks, and sinkers.

SNOW OR WATER SKIING
The options are endless with this type of sports. If snow skiing then you will need heaps of warm gloves, jumpers, scarves, hats, socks and of course the skis and boots. With the water skiing, you still need the skis, life jacket, and heaps of suitable bathing suits or beach towel. In addition, they will need a bag in which to keep all the gear.

TENNIS, GOLFING, SOFTBALL
Whatever type of sport they are interested in playing; there is a suitable option in every sporting shop to cover all the required necessities. If they are new to this sport, I would suggest buying a book on the techniques of playing that sport written by one of the experts.

As a last resort, ask her friends to find out what she would really love to receive.
Although, they need to ask this diplomatically of course without letting her know why.

Whatever you buy, make sure if it is not suitable that you can return it or exchange it for something that is. Have fun shopping.
