Cub Scouts need to be prepared. Since the season of Christmas is rapidly heading around the corner and landing smack dab in the middle of your living room. Have you shopped yet for the little Cub Scout residing in the bedroom upstairs? What gifts can you get for your little Cub Scout? A sage piece of advice would be to consult with the leader of the Cub Scout group that your child belongs to and attempt to figure out what lies in store for the Scouts in the upcoming months. Does your child lack the requisite belongings? You can find this information out quite easily, and then your shopping becomes a walk in the park.

Your Cub Scout will undoubtedly also have in their possession a guide book that will list all of the activities that they will need to move up the ranks effectively. Help your child to understand each and every step, and find out what seems to motivate your child the most. If they are displaying an eagerness for an upcoming task, allow your child to tell you what they might need to be successful. Your child will make their wish list readily available for you.
Cub Scouts need to be active in their community, and therefore, you could also take your child to a dollar store, pick out a bunch of items, and have your child deliver them to the local Sick Kids Hospital in your area, or to a nursing home or retirement village. Allowing your child to understand that the spirit of the season is to give rather than to receive may prove to be the best gift that you can ever give to your child.
