Global warming currently has not proved to be serious enough to cause adverse health effects. The average temperature has only risen .75 degrees in the last 300 years. And most places on the earth do not even have recorded temperatures during that time frame. If the earth's temperature were to raise another 10 degrees - then we might start seeing some strange phenomenon.
It has been proved that humans have very little to do with the overall global warming trends, however you can find twisted studies all over the Internet to the contrary. Volcanoes, Oceans, and animal dung have higher rates of carbon pollution. Currently global warming is not serious enough to cause any noticeable effects, especially when it comes to health issues.
Some scientists say that the Polar caps are melting at faster rates. But you have to ask yourself...if freezing temperature is 32 degrees Fahrenheit, and the temperature at the South Pole never gets above freezing; how can any ice be melting at all? The North Pole is only a slightly different story. The North Cap has always had a small season where the temperature is slightly above freezing, but it has always been that way and the .75 degree increase in the last 300 years is an average all over the earth. But the temperature rise at the North Pole is negligible and signs are even pointing to a global cooling trend in the recent past.
If anyone is blaming health effects on global warming at this point...they probably need their head examined. In the future...there is a remote possibility that it could cause hotter temperatures than people are used to - which could lead to things like heat stroke. But really, I mean honestly, what are we going to DO about it? At best, we can stop polluting the air - but if anyone ever suggests giving the atmosphere a boost - by shooting some chemical up into the air...we need to send that man/woman to the little white room with a straight-jacket.
