Alli, pronounced al-lie, is one of the newest diet drugs to hit the market. After reading what information I could find, I bought a starter package, which is a one month supply. The information that came with the Alli product was a little intimidating, especially the "treatment effects".
I realized after reading all of the literature that came with the pills themselves, that I could lose a lot of weight without the pills; all I had to do was follow the basic plan! A healthy eating plan, keep calories at 1200 to 1300 per day, and fat consumption to about 20 grams per day. Anyone would lose a lot of weight following the plan, minus the pills!
The treatment effects that I mentioned earlier are pretty nasty. If you take Alli with your meals, three times a day, and exceed your fat intake, things could get messy, literally.
Treatment effects include, but are not limited to the following: Loose, oily discharge from the rectum, inability to control bowels and the inability to get to a restroom in time.
I don't know about other's opinions on this drug, but mine is this: If I followed a sensible diet, watched my fat intake, kept calories at 1200 - 1300 a day, exercised for 30 minutes a day, five days a week, I would lose weight, tone and firm. What I wouldn't have are the treatment effects listed above; not much of a no-brainer there!
The other weight lose program that seems to be sweeping the country is called "colon hydro-therapy". A fancy name for using enemas and laxatives for thirty days. Weight loss of 30 pounds in thirty days GUARANTEED! Of course you're going to lose a lot of weight; how do you think young girls, women, and even men who use this method of weight control stay so slim?
In order to use this program correctly, you must do the following: Take enemas and laxatives for thirty days, eat only organic fruit and vegetables, and consume only free-range meats. Did I also mention that you have to go to about 6 -8 different web sites to purchase the items you need to complete this program? Or that you have to buy some type of product which if I understand this correctly is a powder made from the urine of a pregnant women?
I don't know about you, but there's no way I would add water to powdered urine and inject it into my veins, or however you hydrate it to make it injectable. Who can take 30 days off work to follow this program and stay next to, if not in, your bathroom? The cost of the products from the websites are expensive, and I don't think there's a store within 30 miles of me that carries free-range meats; organic fruits and vegetables, maybe.
I would have better luck just adopting a healthy lifestyle that includes eating healthy, exercising, and watching my fat intake. No pills, no laxatives or enemas or anything else that in my opinion is not natural.
