Say "good-bye" to America, and journey across the border to Ontario, Canada. My two favorites in Ontario are first, Calabogie Peaks Resort and then 2nd, Horseshoe Resort. Both are terrific locations and, I promise, you won't be disappointed.
Calabogie Peaks is the highest public ski mountain in Ontario. Brush up on technique with the world class instructional team designed to meet the needs of the entire family. The runs are exceptionally maintained and beautifully lined with trees. Always great conditions add to this resorts amenities. Dine in the Dickson Manor and feast on the cuisine of world class chefs. Preparing each meal to order and displayed in elegant form, this is a wonderful experience. Packages here range from $65.00 on up, so there is a package for every budget. The Horseshoe Resort is located in the stunning Horseshoe Valley on 1600 acres of gorgeous terrain. Special deals for lodging and lift tickets begin at $95.00. The resort is very comfortable and offers a sport center with Squash courts, sauna and pool facilities. The food is fresh and well presented for the heartiest of appetites. Children 12 and younger are free. The mountain contains over 20 captivating runs for all levels of downhill skiers. Groomed to perfection, The Horseshoe will impress everyone.
So, those are my picks for a ski adventure along the Great Lakes Region. Obviously, there are hundreds to choose from, but, I am sure that my picks will be perfect for the budget and the adventurous spirit in all of you.
