Having spent almost all my life in busy Sydney Australia, where there's a plethora of upmarket, midrange and budget conscious shops. I've found that the best areas for true fashion shopping and general shopping is within the tight-knit folds of Central, Town Hall,Paddington,Leichardt,Parramatta, Strathfield, Circular Quay and Burwood.
Near the "Rocks" at Circular Quay Sydney, you will find an abundance of shops catering to the more elite label conscious shopper. Many dress stores are to be found here which match dress, shoes and accessories. These are often one of a kind fashions, which do come at high costs. Yet if you are fashion savvy you will certainly find that special something here.
Hop on one of the many ferries available at Circular Quay, note that this is where you can go to either Manly, Taronga Park zoo, or catch an ocean liner to all parts of the world) and head to Manly which is a short little hop from Central. Here at Manly you will find a medley of designer beach wear.
Manly being one of the elite beach areas of Sydney, and famed for its beautiful sandy shores, rock cliffs, water sports and tri-athlete regattas focuses on designer swimwear as well as label brand sports gear. Here you not only find the Ken Done signature bikinis, you will also find other high profile label brand sports gear.
While here see the street entertainment which comprises of buskers, court jesters, clowns, dancers and comediennes.Grab a bite to eat at the many shore side diners.
Now take yourself to Darling Harbour where tourists from all areas of the globe flock when in Sydney. Here you will find the finest of fashion as well as exquisite fine china, antiques, footwear, collectibles, designer jewelery as well as duty free souvenirs and trinkets.
Looking out across the beautiful serene waters, you will also have the added advantage of seeing sailing ships standing stately out to sea. Here is where the replica "Bounty' docked only recently.Sydney was so proud as they celebrated the discovery of Australia.
Stroll through the lovely gardens and delight at seeing the many statues of Authentic Australians who have made their mark in Australian history. This is where Duty free shopping is at its best.
