RESPONSIBILITY - THE KEY TO ENDING ANIMAL NEGLECTING

In a world currently ran into greed and panic by the economic recession, it seems to be becoming a daily sight to see animals being neglected and mistreated by irresponsible humans. These animals have done nothing wrong, yet they are suffering simply because their human superiors lack the only simple quality needed to care for them. This simple quality is known as responsibility.

If you do not have the wealth, the time or the patience to take care of an animal such as a Dog or a Cat, then quite simply, you need to be responsible enough to tell yourself that you are not fully capable to take care of this animal at this point in your life. For your own benefit, but more importantly for the benefit of the animal in question, choose against this purchase until a later stage in your life where you will have the chance to devote yourself and a healthy portion of your time to spending it with your animal to keep them happy, content and healthy within the home.

A lack of Human Responsibility is what leads to the outbreak of homeless animals needing rescue from organizations such as the RSPCA in order to relocate them to a safe haven until an owner will step in and adopt them to care for them. It is due to a lack of human responsibility that these animals are suffering, and it is a problem with an easy solution. If you do not have the aforementioned qualities, then do not get yourself involved with an animal until you have gained and learned the qualities needed to be a responsible owner, a responsible friend and a responsible adult toward the care of these animals.

I personally am a Dog owner, and a good portion of my time is spent with these animals, because I am responsible enough to know that they will not be content without attention, as do my family who care for them also.

A portion of this cruelty comes from human greed. Some families by cats and dogs simply to breed them to make money, but in the long run, with the money you will spend on food, water, treats and extra electricity for keeping your dog happy and healthy, you will end up losing out on profits anyway, even if it is a big, high priced litter. There is nothing to gain from mass breeding of animals in profits or in morales. The only thing you are doing for yourself is making a name for yourself as an irresponsible pet owner, chances are in the future you will suffer from this, but along with that also comes the suffering of the animals when they are no longer of use to this person and are thrown out on the streets to wander in to a road or starve to death. Is that really humane treatment? Would YOU as a human like to be thrown out in the street and disowned? The answer is a NO, then the question is, why do people continue to mistreat their animals, their PETS in this manner?

The end of animal homelessness starts AT home.

A responsible manner, a responsible attitude and a responsible, capable household is what is needed to raise a pet. It's not all fun and games, it really is a HUGE responsibility. Do not even consider getting an animal companion unless you have a devoted amount of daily time to spend caring for these animals, or in the long run, you are no better then the people throwing these innocent animals out in the streets.
