There is no question in my mind at all. Tottenham will never be a top four club, unless Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man United all leave the Premiership. Tottenham do not have the fan base to be considered a big club. The top four clubs are all known and supported worldwide. Manchester United get 75000 fans at Old Trafford every game. Arsenal get over 60000. Tottenham do not have the players to challenge for a top four finish. Lets compare central midfield player. Chelsea-Frank Lampard, Arsenal - Cesc Fabregas, Manchester United - Paul Scholes, Liverpool - Steven Gerard. Who do Tottenham have the mighty Tom Huddlestone, so laid back he is almost laying down on the pitch. I could sit hear all day comparing all the players from all the clubs in the top four and then look at Tottenham's team and laugh, but I won't. Tottenham do not have the history or tradition of Liverpool or Arsenal. The finances of Chelseas and Manchester United. Tottenham players are not of the calibre of any team in the top four. Even sides like Man City have class players in Elano and Petrov. Tottenham need to spend a lot of money before than can mount a serious challenge without being laughed at and this will not happen quickly a team needs to be built over time like at Arsenal.
