I live just south of Austin, Texas. I have been to quite a few of the eating places around here. As for the best one and reasonable prices that is a good question.

There is a real good bar-b-Que place called Salt Lick. It was started outside a town called town called Driftwood, Texas on RM 1826 and RM 967. They started a second one called Salt Lick 360 located on Capitol of Texas. There are other bar-b-Que places around town some good and others not so good.

Then there other places to chose from it depends on what one wants to eat. There is Italian, Tex-Mex, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and hamburger places. As for cheap now that is a different story. If you want really good food it ain't going to be cheap. There is a place called Dan's Hamburgers. They have good hamburgers but they ain't cheap. I have had better burgers for less cost but some of those places have closed down.

For Chinese try China Emperor located on William Cannon west of IH 35 at Congress, or the Taste of China on 290 East by IH 35. Both are buffets.
