Ever wonder where that tiny voice of temptation comes from? That little suggestion in your head asking you to do what the carnal body would want? It is Satan whispering in your ear. Thats how Satan works. He is not this grand evil master that the movies portray. Moving like the speed of light Satan goes from ear to ear suggesting things that your body desires.

Satan is a very clever deceiver! That is the main thing to remember; he will use this trait every way that he can. Satan makes you think that you decided things; that you made a decision on what you wanted. He is very clever in making people think that they are not worthy of redemption. That is probably his most powerful and evil tool. The feeling of hopelessness is something that Satan likes to spread. If you feel that you are not worthy, you probably will have a hard time praying and asking the Lord Christ for anything.

Sometimes Satan gets too much credit though. Everything that goes wrong in your life you can not blame Satan for. "The Devil made me do it!" It is such an easy thing to say. It is not always the case, and I think that when you use this phrase you know that it is not always the truth. God gave man kind free will, and this free will is something that people have to learn to control, and not always find an excuse for something. We are human, and Jesus only wants us to try to do what is right, and simply ask for forgiveness in his name.

Defeating Satan is something that is easily done! Satan does not have this master control over everyone. Using the Lord Christ's name against him will send him running! Jesus is more powerful than Satan and will protect you from things if only you ask. Jesus is so powerful and good that he died for our sin. He loves us that much! His name is the weapon to fight Satan with, and as long as you have his name in your heart, Satan can not touch you.
