The only reason this question is up in the air is due to his reservation at Huntsville-Hotel. If you watch his mannerisms on TV-you can easily tell he's not a racist. However, I have been to prison myself and unfortunately the system of self-governing regulated by the inmates themselves requires that one sticks to his own. That's prison 101!
Moreover, anyone who can do an about face and transform his life from corrupt to virtuous is bound to learn compassion along the way. And compassionate people have very little tolerance for bigotry. During my own stay at what is known as the THUNDER DOME- I stuck to my own because the alternative was very painful. I had to learn that the hard way, fending of three black guys while I was butt naked. I got busted up pretty good that day, luckily they weren't the rapist types. Later an elder man, wise in the ways of the prison world, explained how things worked. I can personally attest to the fact that if one goes to prison, one does not have to become a racist- but one does have to become a survivalist. This being said, is The Dog a racist? He's probably too humbled by his life experience to ponder such hatred. In my opinion, he's seems like a decent human being who has earned his honor back!
