In the new age of cheap cable television and increasingly fast internet speeds, There is just no escaping TV and video. But, to be frank, there probably aren't many people who would want to. People watching is an addiction that almost everyone suffers from. So, here is a rundown of the top 10 TV and video websites, whether it's recaps of your favorite series, a place to download and create the best new content or simply a place to argue with someone about which of the latest new shows will come out on top.

10. HULU.COM
Although there is currently only a beta of this site available, the concept shows real promise. It offers full seasons of shows from the NBC and Fox networks, amongst others. This means free streaming of shows like House, and classics like The Simpsons. These networks are leading the way in taking TV from a fixed schedule to a flexible viewing experience, and with many new televisions on the market able to connect to PCs, other networks may need to take note.

9. ALLUC.ORG
Did you miss the latest episode of America's Next Top Model or Family Guy? Then this is the place to go. It collates a list of links to uploaded videos from sites like YouTube and Veoh into one easy to search database. Although none of the content is locally hosted, it can prevent the frustrating process of keyword searching on other sites, whilst aiming to avoid issues of copyright infringement. However, similar websites such as tv-links.co.uk have recently been shut down despite this, so there is no guarantee that this site will stick around.

8. SHARETV.ORG
This is a great site with a much greater community centred feel than other similar sites. There are a lot of locally hosted videos of older and more obscure shows that may be more difficult to find elsewhere. There are detailed descriptions of lots of shows, and polls to ask the communities favourite characters or episodes. If you can't remember the name of a character in your favourite show as a kid, or what network it was on, this is the place to go.

7. TVOBSCURITIES.COM
Can't quite remember the name of that show you used to watch over breakfast in 1978? Then this is the site for you. It is a site which describes itself as "dedicated to keeping obscure TV from fading away forever". If you can't find the show you are looking for amongst the many varied and interesting articles on the site, then you could always ask one of the users of the site in the "What's That Show?" forum.
