Dreaded Lung cancer is a dreaded disease and is more prevalent among those who smoke; who work in areas that emit harmful fumes that may damage the lungs; and those already have other illnesses that leave them more susceptible to carcinogens.
Prevention is the cure and this means no smoking, living as healthy a life as possible; eating food that is known to be cancer preventive such as lots of dark green vegetables (broccoli, Brussels sprouts, kale, cabbage).
Likewise pumpkin, sweet potatoes, and carrots and these yellow vegetables are also good cancer preventive foods. As are all fresh foods. They are by far more healthy than prepared foods that contain preservatives.

With the atmosphere as polluted as it is now, there are relatively little places on earth that is full of fresh air and even if there were, few of us could afford, or even want to change move there. The next best thing is to see that your homes are well ventilated and as free as chemicals as possible.

Be sure to wear masks when you are working in your work room with sanding tools and polishers and even when cutting your grass if you have trouble breathing, or have other allergic reactions. Likewise when painting wear a mask and make sure the room is well ventilated. The best way is to paint in the summer time when you can open windows wide. This does not allow for an accumulations of fumes to gather and to linger.
It is no enough to take preventive measures for yourself, but teach your family and explain to the younger members why it is important to breathe in the freshest air possible. Good health habits are learned at an early age and are remembered when stressed by caring parents.
