Gross! PETA is wildly flailing their arms in your face, trying to get you to pay attention to their cause. Sure, it's noble - who wants to see innocent animals get hurt or be treated cruelly? Nobody does; but holy cow, PETA - do you have to be so psychotic about raising awareness?

Blood. Gore. Massacre. Nauseatingly graphic images of cruelty at it's worst - and it's right in your face, all over the website.

Today's horror movies don't hold a candle to the brutal depictions on FurIsDead.com. The extremely explicit site presented by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) demonstrates what happens to animals wanted for their fur in full, sordid detail.

In an effort to discourage all aspects of the fur trade, PETA goes above and beyond the normal plea for help by showcasing gory videos of cruelty being committed against animals. FurIsDead.com's home page is peppered with videos of foxes caught in traps, the torture and slaughter of kittens and puppies in China, and ferrets being skinned alive. The site is highly inappropriate for children and unsuitable for most adults due to its vivid, over-the-top portrayals.

FurIsDead.com lacks taste, mainly because the extremely violent and horrifying videos and photos don't have their own place - they are mixed in with stories of Martha Stewart and Playboy models. Many people are put off by shocking, scary images and would rather not be subjected to them. Separating the site into appropriate categories could potentially help their cause by providing visitors with a choice between reading a G-rated version and seeing the harsh realities depicted on video.

They've got crazy tactics, and they seem to be getting worse. PETA is out of control - and I sincerely pity anyone who unwittingly visits that website thinking that they're going to be able to help animals by watching cruel, inhumane treatment on web videos.
