If you are an "animal rights" extremist then furisdead.com is the right website for you. Video's showing animal torture/abuse , B list celebrities telling you how wrong wearing fur is and tons of other propaganda, I mean, information on other PETA campaigns are readily available on this site.
Let me be the first to say that I would not wear fur and am opposed to it but PETA and furisdead.com go way overboard in how they present their argument. It's just not fur they want you not to wear but leather and wool also.
Once you get angry/ill/disgusted from watching the videos of the animals being tortured you can turn your attention to some very beautiful woman (Holly Madison, Joanna Krupa, etc) telling you something about they would rather be naked than wear fur. Keep in mind these are not societies brightest speaking to you. For example we have drill-sergeant turned Playboy-model, Michelle Manhart saying this in relation to wearing fur:
"If that was your kid would you be wearing, you know, would you wear their hair?"
Yes, she actually compared slaughtering and wearing fur to you wearing your own child's hair if they had been killed in such a way as if you could compare the two and if you can, I feel sorry for your children, if you should have any .
The absolute worst thing about this site is their FAQ section and the gloves are off' section where these PETA nuts actually compare animals to blacks on plantations. Don't believe me? Read it straight from the site, word for word under Fur FAQ':
"Aren't animals better off on fur farms, where they are fed and protected, than they are out in the wild, where they can die of starvation, disease, or predation? "
"A similar argument was used to support the claim that black people were better off being slaves on plantations than being free men and women! Animals on fur farms suffer so much that it is inconceivable that they could be worse off in the wild. The wild isn't "wild" to the animals who live there it's their home. The fact that they might suffer there is no reason to ensure that they suffer in captivity. "
To actually equate the shame of slavery to people wearing fur is, well, it's absurd and crazy. If I were a black American, I would be outraged that organizations like PETA would dare compare the plight of animals to what my ancestors had to go through. But that's just me.
Oh, and I love the part where furisdead.com suggests that, in your enlightened state, you donate your
