What methods does Satan use to tempt people?

Satan uses the human wants, desires, aspirations, imaginations, superstitions, beliefs, fears, and anything else that a human will respond to. Satan is a jerk that will jerk a human being around by what ever means possible. He will play you to your ambitions and by your fears. He has minders on you studying and quantifying you and your reactions. His demon servants not only know you but they manipulate circumstances to your disadvantage. Satan will use your wealth and sense of satisfaction to your great disadvantage.

Your Pride and other Good things
Your pride is a great thing. When you are properly proud, you become a wonderfully beautiful creature. Pride is what sets our standards and makes us create things of beauty. It is what makes you work on your yard and keep it presentable. Pride is what dresses you in the morning. Yet Satan can take that very thing and use it to make you an elitist, condescending piece of misery. Pride under Satan's hand stinks and generally feels wrong.

Your Fears and other Bad things
Satan can torment you. He can torment you with unreal things and He can torment you for the rest of your life. He will use your fears and beliefs to make your life a series of torment. Fear is not a bad thing in itself. It is alright to have some sense of fear since we are mortal. Fear of dangerous things is all very reasonable. Fear that things will get out of hand and end up in a war is reasonable. Make sure your fears are reasonable and seek help to over come irrational fears.

Your Imagination and Beliefs
Your mind is where all your creative potential resides. Your mind and your heart are your two great treasures. What you belief is as important if not more than what is truth. The bible says "as a man thinks that he is, so is he." Your beliefs and imaginations is what makes you close or distant to God. If you are close to God, you have certain eternal security. If you are not close to God, Satan couldn't care less. When your imagination and beliefs are God-ward, it is when Satan would like to treat you like an enemy. Being Godless does not mean you safety however. As a Godless person you are an object slave of the kingdom of Satan.

The Church and its' Functionaries
Like your mind, the Church and spiritual function is a dangerous spiritual battlefield. Satan can use many things and one of them is the institutionalized church. He uses the priests, the deacons, the evangelists, and the pastors as quickly as he will use anything or anyone else. Satan will
