With your joyful playfulness
and my wide eyed curiosity,
we are at times both like children
in heart and spirit
For I forever want to
dance, sing and play with you
skipping in gardens of innocence
admiring God's creation
feeling smiled upon
every time I see your smile
With your thoughtfulness and caring
my sometimes too serious intellect,
we are, at times, old souls
in mind, and in experience
I want to hold, console
and grow wise with you
Learn from the sages
and the prophets
Be your teacher
as well as your student
And feel your warmth
plus endearment
every time I reflect upon
your understanding
and compassion
I'll always adore you
no matter what,
and long to play with you
in the plains
in the clouds
here on earth
and in the heavens
