Do diet shakes really help lose weight

The question, "Do diet shakes really help lose weight?" is not an easy question to answer. Because there are many companies that offer shakes as part or all of their programs, a simple yes or no answer is not likely. Each program must be evaluated on its own merits.

I was introduced to a health and wellness program that uses shakes as one part of its program. I was willing to start the program because it had been highly effective for some friends. But the shakes were only one part of the program and never did they recommend to replace all three meals with shakes. It is still important to continue getting fiber and roughage in your diet from at least one regular meal. My program also includes a cleansing element to release toxins that have accumulated in the body. Without releasing toxins from the body, most individuals will put the weight back on as soon as they return to their normal eating habits.

I lost 40 pounds in the first 90 days and to date have lost 45 pounds since starting the program about seven months ago. My weight is very stable now. I still take at least one shake each day. The shakes include all the nutrients needed to feel the cells in my body. I also make sure to get an adequate amount of exercise daily.

I will never allow myself to go back to my old self and will continue using these products not as a weight loss program, but as a total health and wellness program for the rest of my life. My sweet tooth is gone, I don't miss drinking carbonated beverages, and I have as much energy as I have ever had.
