Relationships and deception: What counts as cheating?

Any cheater will tell you that unless they are sexually active with someone other than their partner, they are not cheating. Personally I think this is a load of bull manure that these cheaters use to excuse their behavior.

If you are in a serious relationship with someone, meaning that you are seeing them exclusively, there are a number of things which are considered cheating no matter how you choose to look at them.

As far as i am concerned if you secretly take someone out for coffee, dinner or anything else for that matter, you are cheating. I know there are probably allot of people out there that are asking, if you haven't done anything but take that person out, how can you possibly be cheating?

Simple, by hiding the fact that you are going out with that person, you are showing your partner that you have the intention of lying to them. Any women I know will tell you that lying about seeing someone is as good as cheating.

Cheating doesn't have to be physical either, sharing thoughts and feelings that you haven't shared with anyone other than your partner can be considered cheating. Anytime you do something with someone that you would normally only do with your partner, you are sharing intimacies with them.

This to me and allot of people I know, is just as bad as physically cheating. Holding hands is also cheating, when you hold hands with your partner you are showing them affection that you hold for them.

If you do the same with another person, you are showing that you share affection for them as well, this is cheating. Kissing someone else is also a big no no. When I kiss my husband I am showing him that it would show me that our intimacies mean nothing to him and vice versa.

Being sexually intimate with someone other than your partner is definitely cheating. Sex should only be engaged in with someone who holds an extremely special place in your heart. If you are sexually active with someone other than your partner, it shows that you do not value them.

There are many other forms of cheating as well but I have taken the time to list the ones that I feel most significant. So remember if you truly love your partner you will be faithful to them and treat them as you would no one else, worship them if you will.
