Eyes
Looking in eyes
Eyes that have seen
So much
Almost too much
Eyes that have lived through
What others can't imagine
So much life
So many smiles
So many tears
Shimmering glimpses
Still remaining within
Eyes that may have seen
Hundreds of years
Experience and life
Welling in those eyes
Stories speak out
Things some can not imagine
The wisdom shinning
Reflecting a lifetime
Seems to be more
More than one life
So many lives
Meeting and departing
Within those eyes
Eyes that live on
Eyes that do not let the past die
Eyes that will always shine
Of every previous day
Eyes that hold more stories
Than any book could ever hold
Eyes that speak
More than words can bear
