Is there really such a thing as a perfect apology? Or has society used and abused apology's so much that a "perfect" apology may not even exist anymore. Is an apology a simple saying to get yourself out of whatever hole you dug? Or is an apology something you are really sincere about? Too many of us naturally apologize when we did something wrong as a way of shrinking the problem. These kind of apologizes are not sincere and hold no real value to them. Unfortunately about 98% of apologizes are those that are just trying to have a quick fix to a problem. So what makes a perfect or close to perfect apology then? Well this is really quite simple, yet somehow we never think about it. Sincerity is one of the main factors in apologies. If you do not think you did something wrong, then it would be pointless to apologize because you would be saying it just to defuse the situation. You really have to mean it when you apologize for something. By being sincere you are saying "I realize what I have done and I feel bad about it". This is also showing that you want to fix the situation instead of covering it up. Having a sincere apology also says that you realize what you did and you will not do it again. For example lets say that an employee was always late for work and when they would walk into work, they would apologize, every time. Do you think the boss is going to believe them? Of course not because they are not showing that they are sincere and they are not trying to change whatever they are sorry about. We all just have to remember to put sincerity behind our apologies and mean what we say.
