How to ask a complete stranger on a date

How To Ask A Complete Stranger On A Date -

The idea of asking a complete stranger on a date is a very difficult one. But it is not impossible or improbable in today's very outgoing society. Don't be shy, be prepared for rejection but do not take it personally if the later does happen, as you do not know anything about this person. They could be in a committed relationship or could be waiting to be committed!

Making initial eye contact is important to at least determine whether or not that person may very well be interested in you. This is better than a complete cold call, in other words, if you haven't shared a couple of flirtatious looks, then it may be better to leave that one well enough alone. You need to know if there is a bit of shared interest first!

So let's go with eye contact has been made, occasional look, things are good. Now you have decided to ask this complete stranger out on a date. But you do need an angle.

This is where your power of observation should come in. How the person is dressed, can actually tell you a lot about that person. Lets state as an example here that someone dressed as a construction worker, may very well not be interested in going to the latest French Restaurant whereas the business man in a suit and tie, is not going to be interested in going to Arby's!

Your same power of observation has ensured that there is no wedding ring, and no mark of one having recently been there. You should have checked out as well the people that they are currently with as again, you can learn a lot about a person by watching. And just to note, there is a big difference between observing and stalking!

Your approach should be confident, but not intimidating. You should not rush over to them, but you should ensure that you are showing interest in specifically talking with them and not the entire group.

How "to", would be determined by what you have learned already by your observations. Starting small talk after introducing yourself is of course best. At this point you are still learning, watching body language to ensure that there is a mutual interest. From there, you are on your own with whatever ideas you have to suggest, whether it be coffee, movie, lunch or dinner. Just be friendly, outgoing and ask in the same way that you would ask your best friend to go with you for an outing.

After all, it is just a date and a date is only a means of getting to know someone more with of course, the hopes that you might be compatible enough for a second date.
